Geology
Short characteristics of the site: The overgrown mine dump, relic of uranium exploitation. This uranium mineral deposit is located almost in contact with the Moldanubian plutonic complex. Uranium mineralization is represented mainly by coffinite and uraninite and is associated with quartz-carbonate veins and/or hydrothermally altered granites. The uranium deposit exploitation was realized between 1972 and 1989. Nowadays, only minerals from spoil can be found on this dump. The locality belongs to the Bohemian Moldanubicum Zone.
