Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This importang locality is located at hillside overlooking the ravine of the Zbiroh Brook. The discordant contact between underlying Neoproterozoic sediments and overlying basal Cambrian sediments is exposed there. The Neoproterzoic sediments consist of greywackes and clayey schists, whereas basal Cambrian sediments are represented by conglomerates of the Mileč Formation. These conglomerates are overlain by fossil-bearing sandstones. This locality belongs to the Příbram-Jince Cambrian Basin of the Barrandian.
