Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Small locality with the outcrop of typical rocks of the Mariánské lázně Complex. Rocky cliff about 5 metres high and 10 metres broad. This rock represents amphibolite, exactly garnet amphibolite, which is banded and laminated. The individual layers differ in contens of amphibole, feldspar and garnet. The rocks are of Proterozoic up to Palaeozoic age.
The whole area belongs to the National Czech-Bavarian Geopark Egeria.
