Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality shows a penetrationpf amphibole-biotite porphyric melagranite up to melasyenite (durbachite) into metamorphosed felsitic granulites. The durbachites form several paralelly oriented sheet bodies. In granulites relics of older metamorphic foliation structures can be observed.This locality belongs to the southeastern part of the Šumava Mts. area.
