Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Geological section in the 320 m long adit includes granodiorite of the Brno Massif and limestones of the Josefov Beds. The locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Moravosilesian Palaeozoicum
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum - devon - střední devon - givet, proterozoikum - neoproterozoikum (1000 - 542 Ma)
