Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moravosilesian Palaeozoic, Middle Devonian. Isolated elevation with abandoned quarry. Vilémovice Limestone of the Macocha Formation is exposed. Limestones contain interesting coral fauna with stromatopors, crinoids, etc. They are partly recrystallized. This limestone body represents relic of a coral reef. These resistant limestones crop out from a cover of calcareous clays of the Badenian age. This locality is classified as a Nature Monument.
