Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality in a form of active quarry belongs to the Hlinsko Proterozoic and Palaeozoic. The cropping out rock series consists of contactly metamorphosed phyllitic schists, spotted schists, greywackes, cherty greywackes and fine grained greyish cherts. The rocks are crushed just in the quarry and are used as an aggregate for road covering. The lowest quarry level is flooded but in the upper levels the quarrying goes on.
