Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality embraces abandoned pits, adit entrance and alluvial placers (relics of old placer mining). It is situuated at the western margin of the Železné Hory Pluton and is represented by fine grained two-mica granites with isolated outcrops of metagabbro, amphibolite and skarn. At this locality also relics of old mine workings can be found. In the 18th and 19th centuries pyrite accumulations were exploited there. All these localities belong to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mountains".
