Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality represents a sedimentary fill of depression. Reddish and blackish sediments are probably of the Permian age and overlie the rocks of the Nasavrky pluton. The sediments are represented by subarkoses and subgreywackes. They are not compacted and so their regolith cover is usually thick. Sme doubtful fossils of plants were found, but this are needs more detail investigation. It is supposed that this depression with sedimentary fill can belong to the Jihlava Graben. This lopcality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory -the Iron Mts.".
