Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Acif felsic metavolcanic roks (porphyroid embedded within chlorite-sericite phyllite (bottom) and graphite-sericite phyllite (top). Relics porphyritic texture and fine grained matrix shows its volcanic (lava) origin. Chemistry of rocks proves the orignin by melting of continental crust during Cambro-Ordovician rifting.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Lugicum - Krkonoše-Jizerské hory Mts.crystalline complex
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum
Subject: geology, petrology, structural geology
Geological phenomenon: horizontal section
Genesis: metamorphic (general metamorphism)
Rock: metarhyolite, phyllite
