Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality occurs in the northern part of the Poolička Crystalline. The banded amphibolites and two-mica mica schists represent main rock types. The wall of the abandoned shelf quarry offered an interesting "Alpean paragenesis" of minerals such as zoisite, epidote and diopside. Numerous pinkish veinlets of granite transect the rock bodies. The quarry wall is not weathered and thus it allows to study of details of mutual relations between rock types. The locality belongs to the National Geopart "Železné hory - the Iron Mts."
