Geology
Short characteristics of the site: The abandoned pit quarry. This locality belongs to the mantle of the Železné hory pluton. This pluton consists there of migmatites and granodiorites with interlayers of dolomitic limestone. This rock was exploited in the middle of the last century.In some abandoned pits interesting minerals were found. The burnt lime was produced here in lime kiln. The relics of this activities are still visible. The locality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mts."
