Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Magmatites, Western Bohemia. Abandoned flooded quarry exposing biotite granite of so called "Jesenice type". It differs from surrounding granites by common garnet, cordierite and Mg-turmaline (dravite). Potassium feldspar phenocrysts as large as 8 mm are present. Outcrops covered by isolated and scattered boulders and blocks. Nature monument, protecting interesting flora and fauna.
