Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Barrandian Neoproterozoic and magmatites. Active quarry where "Tisá granite" is being exploited. This rock can be classified as biotite granite, coarse grained,slightly porphyric, homogeneous, of greyish-bluish colour. Interesting enclosure of Proterozoic schists are present as well as veins of hydrothermal quartz. In some parts phenocrysts of potassium feldspar are present. Broad spectrum of accessoric minerals, also with fluorite and monazite.
