Short characteristics of the site: Famous localities in the Valeč area, Doupov Mts. Calcareous sediments and volcanosedimentary material contain abundant Lower oligocene fauna and flora, studied recently by profesor O. Fejfar. Fossil findings contributed with knowledge on paleoecology, stratigraphy and volcanic history of the area.
