Short characteristics of the site: The small outcrop and abandoned quarry of preserved old limekiln shows typical lithology of both mudstone and detritic facies of the Těšín Limestone Formation (Silesian Unit). These strata represent initial flysch sedimentation in the Silesian Basin around the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary.
