Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum,Šumava Mts. and South Bohemia. Series of outcrops consists of partly migmatized fine grained biotite paragneiss. Various stages of migmatization can be observed. This rock consists of following rock mnerals: Quartz, plagioclase, biotite, sillimanite and lesser amounts of potassium feldspar, muscovite and garnet. Metamorphic foliation is present together with several fracture systems. Important locality, showing tectonic deformation in rocks of the Monotonous Series of the Moldanubicum.
