Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Palaeozoic of the Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Geomorphologically unique rock pillar, made of crystalline limestone. This pillar is 8 m high a represents part of a ridge. Crystalline limestone passes locally into dolomitic limestone. Morphology of this limestone pillar is combined product of weathering and selective erosion.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Lugicum - Krkonoše-Jizerské hory Mts.crystalline complex
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum
Subject: geomorphology, lithology
Geological phenomenon: rock pillar, selective erosion
