Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Permocarboniferous of the Krkonoše Piedmont and Intrasudetic basins. The quarry exposes part of 400 m thick rhyolite body. Typical example of the Permian extrusive felsitic rhyolites. Multicoloured rock with several compositional types and variable ways of disintegration. Numerous small joints filled by quartz and potassium feldspars.
