Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Račany Unit, Lukov Beds, Paleocene. Outcrop in Bečva River valley. Instructive outcrop of so called wild flysch with preserved sedimentary structures. This section consists mainly of sandstone with some conglomerate layers. Conglomerates contain rounded pebbles with predominating quartz. Sole marks, mainly flute casts, richly occur on sandstone bedding planes. In lower parts clay balls and clay galls in sandstones are abundant with fauna of agglutinated forams. The locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Beskydy.
