Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Natural forested outcrop shows a fine- up to medium-grained muscovite-biotite orthogneiss with paragneiss xenoliths, which are partly assimilated. In the orthogneiss there is a thin layer of fine-grained amfibolite. Petrologically important locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Saxothuringicum - Krušné hory and Smrčiny crystalline complexes
