Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Old abandoned qurry in crystalline limestones (dolomitic), at the northern margin limestones pass into black graphitic phyllites. From similar limestones from the locallity Hamerčická skála some problematic fossil remains were described by Chlupáč (1953, 1993). Limestones are probably Early Paleozoic age (? Cambrian, Silurian to E. Devonian).
