Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, Central Massif, Melechov Massif. Forested hill with rocky outcrops and numerous traces of frost weathering. Frost cliffs are abundant. The bedrock consists of white greyish fine-up to medium grained muscovite-biotite granite of so called Deštná type. Main rock forming minerals: Potassium feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, muscovite and lesser amount of chloritized biotite and turmalin.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Magmatites in Moldanubicum
