Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Boskovice Graben, Permocarboniferous, volcanics. Shallow erosional gully exposing a vein of andesitic basalt cutting Permian reddish and brownish claystones, siltstones and fine grained sandstones. Andesite consists mostly of plagioclases and secondary minerals (chlorite, epidote). Secondary voids filled by calcite are abundant.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Late Palaeozoicum of furrows
