Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Svratka Dome. Partly active quarry with crystalline limestones. These rocks were used either as building stones or for lime production. Two main types of rocks are present: Pure whitish limestones and dolomitic limestones with tremolite. Crystalline limestones are overlain by muscovite-biotite mica schists and phyllites.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Moravicum
