Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Barrandian Neoproterozoic and Lower Cambrian. Outcrops of Lower Cambrian sediments along right bank of Zbiroh brook. Basal member of Middle Cambrian sequence, Mileč conglomerate, is exposed. In upper part of this sequence conglomerate with lydite pebbles occurs. Tectonic overthrusts cause multiple repetition of this sequence. Cambrian sediments are tectonically separated from underlying Neoproterozoic schists and greywackes.
