Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Pronounced rocky ridge. Outcrops of eclogite, largest in the Krušné Hory Mts. These eclogite forms a core of a Klínovec anticline. Eclogite is coase-grained with common brownish reddish garnet. Petrologically significant locality. Also interesting geomorphology.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Saxothuringicum - Krušné hory and Smrčiny crystalline complexes
