Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Kutná Hora Crystalline. Quarry on a bank of Vrchlice riverlet. Water course Vrchlice and its banks played an important role in history of mining in the Kutná Hora mining field. In this quarry migmatized two-mica and biotite granites occur, together with some amphibolites, mica schists with garnet and kyanite and also eclogite. Locality is also important mineralogically, minerals of alpine paragenesis were collected on fissures in upper part of this quarry.
