Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, metamorphic unit. Abandoned shelf quarry exhibiting crystalline limestone. Important geological locality, showing part of the Varied Series of the Bohemian Moldanubicum. Crystalline limestone is whitish and greyish and contains some interlayers of biotite paragneiss. Locally banding and folding of limestone can be seen.
