Short characteristics of the site: The Krušné hory (Erzgebirge) Mts. Crystalline. Frost escarpments with outcrops of medium grained muscovite-biotite orthogneiss, tectonically deformed. It consists of quartz, potassium feldspar, plagioclase, muscovite and biotite plus accessories.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Saxothuringicum - Krušné hory and Smrčiny crystalline complexes
