Geology
Short characteristics of the site: The Krušné hora (Erzgebirge) Mts, Crystalline. Rocky protrusion with outcrops of amphibolite. This rock is massive, fine grained, with some foliation planes and scarce banding. This ampphibolite body of variable thickness is surrounded by muscovite orthogneiss.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Saxothuringicum - Krušné hory and Smrčiny crystalline complexes
