Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Flysch sediments complex, lithologically variable, in comparatively young deeply cut depression. Example of miscellaneous erosional network. Rhythmically arranged flysch sediments are not erosion-resistant. They are of Senonian-Turonian age. This locality is classified as a Natural Reserve and is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Beskydy.
Regional geologic unit: Carpathian - Flysch belt - Outer (Menilit-Krosněny) group of nappes
Stratigraphy: mezozoikum - křída - svrchní křída
