Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Presently non-active sand pit. Exposure of a complex of sandy clays, siltstones, silty clays, several sand horizons and also layer of lignite which can be interpreted as lacustrine sediments. Occurence of fossiliferous beds, Pannonian age of fauna (B-C zones). Stratigraphically and paleontologically interesting locality.
