Short characteristics of the site: Tectonised gneisses (blastomylonite) of the Krhovice crystalline complex build locality. Mendipe protrudes from younger Tertiary (the Eggenburgian-Ottnangian) and Quaternary sediments (the Hodonice terrace) of the Carpathian Foredeep.
