Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry at the foot of Borek - hill, at the road. Mostly coarse grained sandstones with feldspar admixture, interbedded with conglomerate layers. Besides vein quartz, pebbles of grey orthoquartzite (20 %) and lydite (25 %) are present. The uppermost part of Žacléř Formation - Petrovice Member (Upper Duckmant - Bolsovian). This locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Broumovsko.
