Geology

Short characteristics of the site: A)Stream valley with outcrops on its walls. Exposures of arkoses with conglomerate interlayers. Lower part of the Jívka Beds, Odolov Formation (Barruelian - Stephanian B). Sedimentologically and stratigraphically interesting locality. B) Rocky ridge with outcrops of arkoses with conglomerate interlayers. Stratigraphically they correspond to the lower part of the Jívka Beds, Odolov Formation (Barruelian - Stephanian B). Sedimentologically and stratigraphically interesting locality. C)Natural outcrops of arkoses with conglomerate interlayers. Significant lithofacies in the lower parts of the Jívka Beds, Odolov Formation (Barruelian - Stephanian B). Called also Žaltman Arkose according to its typical occurrence. Sedimentologically and stratigraphically important locality. This locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area.
