Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality is located on the rocky slope overlooking deeply cut Dyje (Thaya) channel. The rocks consist mainly of muscovite-biotite paragneisses. Also some greyish amphibolites, marbles and erlans are present. Depressions are filled with weathering regolith. The surrounding area is interesting from a geomorphological viewpoint. The locality belongs to the Proteorozoic of the Moravicum Zone.
