Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Groups of rocky cliffs exposing arkoses with conglomerate interlayers. On the base there are common occurrences of allochtonous silicified araucarites. Stratigraphically these sediments belong to the lower parts of the Jívka Beds, Odolov Formation (Barruelian - Stephanian B). Sedimentologically and stratigraphically signficant locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Lugic Late Palaeozoicum (including Triassic deposits)
