Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Silesicum. Highest parts of the Jeseníky Mts. with important geomorphíological phenomena, geological composition and vegetation. This area is of European importance. Most important rocks are as follows: Metamorphites of the Desná DOme and rocks forming its mantle (phyllites, migmatites, gneisses, metaquartzites, schists with interlayers of silicites). Numerous traces of glaciation, frost cliffs, block fields, colluvial deposits and polygonal soils. Summit plains dominate over deeply cut valleys.
