Geology
Short characteristics of the site: An outcrop in the slope N of Hředle, Rakovník area. It shows a classic stratigraphic section in the Peruc-Korycany and Bílá hora formations of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, described by Frič and Bayer (1901) already. It is underlain by the Permo-Carboniferous Líně Formation (Stephanian C). Spongilitic marlstones of the Bílá hora Formation are now exploited by the Spongilit Co. and show many cavities of enigmatic origin. A good example of marlstone in the Dbán area.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Cretaceous - Czech Cretaceous Basin
Stratigraphy: mezozoikum - křída - svrchní křída - cenoman, proterozoikum
Subject: geology, stratigraphy, economic geology
Geological phenomenon: lithological boundary

Rock: opuka (aranaceous marlstone), sandstone
Territorial conservation
