Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Old open pit where amphibolite was quarried. Two depressions are filled with Cretaceous sediments of Lower and Middle Turonian ages. Cretaceous section consists mostly of biodetrital limestones, sandy limestones, marlstones and calcareous siltstones. Fossils are very abundant. Stratigraphically, sedimentologically and paleontologically significant locality.
