Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Complex of outcrops in the Sázava River valley. Contact of several geological units is exposed, such as Moldanubian Zone, Kutná hora Crystalline and Rataje Zone. Great variability of rocks can be observed: Crystalline limestone, dolomite, amphibolite, metaquartzitic gneiss, etc. Pegmatitic and aplitic dykes are also present. The locality is classified as Nature Monument and situated in the Geopark of Blaník Knights.
