Geology
Short characteristics of the site: The abandoned quarry near Pustověty settlement. This locality geologically belongs to the Barrandium Proterozoic. In the lower quarry levels greywacke prevails, on the other hand rhythmic alternation of prevailing schists and greywackes takes place. All the rocks are only slightly metamorphosed. In the schists some quartz veins occur,the greywackes are penetrated with thin vein network.
