Short characteristics of the site: The Cheb and Sokolovo basins and volcanics of the Doupovské hory Mts. Small water flow exposed by vertical erosion massive lavas of limburgite composition which display distinct columnar jointing. The canyon floor is covered by coarse gravel consisting of basaltoid pebbles and boulders.
