Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, metamorphic units, Šumava Mts. This area protects mixed forest systems. Bedrock consists of migmatized biotite paragneisses and cordieritic nebulitic migmatites together with anatexites. The relief is modelled by frost weathering, castle coppies, isolated rocks and tors are abundant. Outcrops show very instructive interaction between tectonic and migmatization processes.
