Geology
Short characteristics of the site: The section along the Michut Stream is the type locality of the Rožnov Formation (Silesian Unit). The base of the formation is defined by the appearance of mottled grey and greenish claystones and horizon of red-brown claystone. Foraminifer fauna with Rzehakina fissistomata (Grzyb.) evidences the Paleocene age. The upper part of the formation is tectonically reduced by overthrust of the Rača Unit.
