Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Bohemicum, magmatites. Železné hory Mts. Pluton. Part of Protected landscape area. Large Active quarry producing aggregates. Rocks can be classifed as hornblende metadiorites with transition to hornblende metagranodiorite. Also body of amphibolite is present. Fine- up to medium-grained metagranitoids contain quartz, plagioclase, potassium feldspar and small amount of biotite. Rocks are parly mylonitized.
