Geology

Short characteristics of the site: A sand pit 4 m deep on the S foot of Hradiště Hill 2 km NW of Libice nad Doubravou. Fine-grained sandstones and sands of the Korycany Member (Cenomanian) with a variable glauconite admixture were exploited as foundry sands. Brittle deformations are visible.
