Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry exposing the uppermost parts of the Trutnov Formation. It is formed of medium- and coarse-grained multicoloured sandstones exhibiting channel current bedding. Also typical ancient floodplain sediments. Some sandstones have carbonate cement and weathered out selectively. Stratigraphically important locality. This locality is recommended for protection.
