Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Outcrops of the Staré Sedlo Formation (Upper Eocene) on the SW slope of Kamenitý Hill near Svatava, in the Tertiary Sokolov Basin. Conglomerates and sandstones contain rich fossil flora. Pseudokarst phenomena include a rock arch and caves. A classic paleontological site, favourable for the study of fluvial depositional systems.
